The hotel rooms were in need of repair, very dated with poor finishes in the bath, and badly in need of modernization. The rooms were pretty small for the price, the iron was leaking, and the fan was working but shook like it was about to explode. Additionally, the reception staff's attitude was awful, leading to a disappointing experience for a second stay. I won't be staying again.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The room was a disaster - it wasn't very clean, the toilet seat was loose, there were hairs in the shower, and I couldn't even switch off the bathroom light. The room was pretty small for the price, and the iron was leaking. Despite the room being large with a great bed and bedding, it looked very tired, and the plug sockets were in strange places. The staff's attitude at reception was awful. I was really disappointed, especially considering it was my second stay, and I won't be returning to this hotel.
The hotel staff was excellent, but the room needed some improvement. The breakfast was not satisfactory, making us uncomfortable. We appreciated the convenient location, though it needed some maintenance. Overall, we may not stay again.
Upon arrival, the rooms seemed attractive but fell short with peeling wallpaper, a faulty bedside light, and excessive traffic noise all night from the poorly fitted double glazing. Sleep quality was compromised due to the roadside location of the noisy room, which appeared to be of a very poor standard. The hotel's location was excellent, offering easy access to nearby areas like Wombourne, Dudley, and Bridgnorth.
My stay at this hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms definitely need some updating and refurbishment as they appear quite worn out, but on the bright side, the beds were super comfy. The service was decent, with a shout-out to the housekeeping team. The location is lovely, offering a peaceful atmosphere to explore the Black Country from. When it comes to dining, there were some hits and misses, but the homemade pies and jams were delightful. I didn't have much to say about the facilities.
The hotel had some issues with room cleanliness and needed decorating. The entrance/exits were inconvenient, especially for older guests. Lighting in the room was not ideal, often dim with just one bright spot over the bed. However, the staff, food, and room comfort were satisfactory overall.
